Do I need a doctor’s referral for NeuroJust TMS Therapy?

One of the great things about NeuroJust TMS is that we do not require a doctor referral. You can directly access TMS therapy without having to go through the often time-consuming and frustrating process of getting a referral from your doctor. While we do have many physicians that directly refer to us, you are welcome to call the office and make an appointment.  You are your best healthcare advocate.  

But why is a doctor referral NOT necessary for TMS therapy? Here are a few reasons:

• TMS is a safe and non-invasive therapy. Unlike some other medical treatments, TMS does not involve any medication or surgery. It is FDA approved and a completely non-invasive therapy that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. This makes it a safe and effective option for people who may be hesitant to try more aggressive options.
• TMS is an outpatient treatment. At NeuroJust, we administer TMS therapy in our outpatient clinic, which means that you do not need to be admitted to a hospital or other medical facility. You will receive your TMS therapy in     NeuroJust’s comfortable and spa-like clinic, without the need for a doctor referral.
• TMS is highly effective. TMS has been shown to be an effective treatment for depression in many clinical studies. In fact, 80% of NeuroJust patients have experienced significant improvement in their depression symptoms while 70% achieve complete remission.
• NeuroJust has an on-site, board-certified physician that oversees all medical care.  Prior to any TMS therapy treatment, Dr. Chance McInnis will evaluate every patient and oversee all care provided by the staff.
